New First Aid Apps of White Cross now online
Posted on |The White Cross offers the most important first aid measures now free of charge for iPhone, iPad and, new, also for Android. The first aid applications have been completely revised and provided with educational videos.
The apps for all three groups, adults, children and infants, are available in German, Italian and English. Thanks to 3D models, the first aid applications are at your fingertips with concise clear instructions. Important details can thus be better communicated and highlighted.
Audio first aid training clips are added for the main first aid procedures. Users will achieve at first an overall view of a measure such as the cardiopulmonary resuscitation, can listen to the instructions and then study the measure step-by-step by means of graphics with texts.
The contents of the apps are in accordance with the current guidelines of the ERC (European Resuscitation Council). President Dr. George Rammlmair and his team have prepared the contents in a user-friendly way. The White Cross is the leading expert organization in South Tyrol in terms of first aid training for lay persons. Last year alone, the White Cross has trained over 10,000 citizens. The iPhone applications for adults have been downloaded 600,000 times worldwide.
Director Dr. Ivo Bonamico is particularly proud that the White Cross has once again reinvested its income from the South Tyrol taxpayers in the development of a project that benefits the whole population (taxpayers in South Tyrol can support the work of the White Cross by determining 5 per thousand of the income tax they pay to the White Cross).
All current applications are available on the (German language) learning platform of the White Cross in the three languages German, Italian and English.
