samaritans-best-logoOn 29th November, the winners of the 2014 SAMARITAN’s B.E.S.T. awards will be announced in Gmunden, Austria.

This year’s awards are kindly hosted by ASB Austria, who will integrate the B.E.S.T. 2014 into the evening programme of their St. Nicholas train event.SAMARITAN’s B.E.S.T. comprises two awards: A local award, for an extraordinary local and “hands-on” positive impact, and the international award, which is a token of appreciation for great projects the SAM.I. members conduct together across borders.

A large number of applications have reched the SAM.I. GS from our member organisations all across Europe. Four of these projects will be celebrated Saturday night – the winner of the local award and the first three places of the international award.

Besides the winners, representatives from most SAM.I. member organisations will be at the ceremony, as well as a number of honorary guests and about 600 children, who will be present due to their participation in the St. Nicholas train.

More information on the complete event can be found on the website of ASB Austria.
