SAM.I. President Fleckenstein elected Vice-President of SOLIDAR

At the SOLIDAR general assembly of 4th June 2015, the President of SAMARITAN INTERNATIONAL, Knut Fleckenstein, was elected as the Vice-President of SOLIDAR.
After his election, Mr. Fleckenstein commented: “I am very happy to be able to work for a social Europe on this level as well, besides my office as a Member of the European Parliament.”
SOLIDAR is a network of 60 NGOs and trade unions working to advance social justice in Europe and Worldwide. The Samaritan organisations and SOLIDAR have long been cooperating in advocacy in relevant European policy issues such as the social economy. Mr. Fleckenstein’s election marks a new opportunity for strengthening this cooperation further.
