ANPAS emergency relief in Sardinia
Posted on |At least 18 people, including four children, have been killed in flooding on the Italian island of Sardinia after a cyclone and heavy rain prompting Italy to declare a state of emergency.
Volunteers of Italian SAM.I. partner ANPAS are involved in the operations assisting displaced people affected by the flood and clearing road access.
To show its support to the volunteers involved in the emergency operations ANPAS launched a photo campaign among volunteers all over Italy.
ANPAS volunteers are participating in the campaign sending “Ajo Sardegna” pictures (which means “Go Sardinia”) to show their solidarity with the helpers on site.
Volunteers from other SAM.I. member organizations who wish to demonstrate solidarity with their Italien friends can publish pictures with the hashtag: #ajòSardegna or send them by email: comunicazione@anpas.org
