Young European first-aiders from 10 Samaritan organisations in 9 countries competed in the 5th Samaritan Contest in Adria and Venice from August 7 to August 10. This year’s Contest was hosted by Italian SAM.I. member ANPAS.

From July 4 to 6, representatives of 7 SAM.I. members and a number of experts met in Wiesbaden, Germany for working meetings of the projects Cross Border Samaritan Flood Preparedness and SAMETS.

As local water supply is restored, ASB Germany’s first assistance teams have returned home after weeks of providing drinking water to the people in the city of Šamac, Bosnia. Aid and rebuilding efforts of the Samaritan organisations continue.

Barbara Siri was elected as member of the national board of the White Cross partner ANPAS, the biggest umbrella organization of the rescue organizations in Italy. Barbara Siri will be responsible for youth work and equality of opportunity.

The ASBÖ St. Nicolas train, an initiative of the Austrian Samaritan association, was on its way for the 14th time. The two-day trip led the children with the special train to Villach.
