New international first aid courses
Posted on |The ASB regional branch of Bad Windsheim is once again conducting their international youth first aid courses titled “Junior First Responder”.
The courses are open to youngsters from all SAM.I. members between 14 and 24 years. Participants have the opportunity to spend 10 days in Germany while taking part in the established Junior First Responder courses.
The courses consist of fifty 45-minute units of training plus an exam. They are taught in English and German and do not require any previous experience, just an interest in medicine.
ASB Bad Windsheim’s Junior first responder courses have been offered since 2001, when the project was founded based on the local school paramedical training. The project aims not only to convey first aid skills as such, but also to give young people an insight into social commitment and volunteering, qualifying them to be “social multipliers” in society and their community.
