The application phase for the 2014 SAMARITAN’s B.E.S.T awards has been officially opened!
As local water supply is restored, ASB Germany’s first assistance teams have returned home after weeks of providing drinking water to the people in the city of Šamac, Bosnia. Aid and rebuilding efforts of the Samaritan organisations continue.
SAMARITAN INTERNATIONAL mourns the loss of its former president and co-founder Fritz Tepperwien. who passed away on June 3, 2014 at the age of 77 years.
Austrian SAM.I. member ASBÖ has so far distributed about 600 tons of aid materials in the regions that were affected by flood, more will follow. They are working together with local partner organisations.
Today, Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund Deutschland (ASB) sent an emergency aid team to Bosnia and Herzegovina. The team will bring water treatment facilities, to produce drinking water, to the town of Šamac in the northern part of the country.
After heavy rainfall and large scale floods in Bosnia and Herzegovina as well as in Serbia, ASB Germany provides 30,000 Euros of emergency aid.
Today, we kicked off the Year of Youth in First Aid. The Year’s motto: “Youth Engaged in First Aid – Heroes without Superpowers”. We aim to promote first aid training, particularly among young people.
