Youvo – project-based creative engagement as a new form of volunteering

Youvo has been developed in 2012 by six students at the Berlin University of the Arts as a final project. The idea is to bring together young students or trainees and social organizations that need assistance in the field of public relations.
Incentives for young creative people to engage socially or politically are provided via an online platform and a local workshop format. The platform wants to bring them together with organizations seeking specific and time-limited support for creative tasks in the fields of photography, video, design or social media.
By designing a flyer, producing a video or supporting an event as a photographer young people with creative talent are offered a wide range of opportunities to get actively involved in social projects sharing their skills and knowledge whilst gaining valuable practical experiences.
